BRUNCH - June 21, 2025
Magnificat-Omaha invites all women to our Summer Brunch with guest speaker Janice Charbonnet. Janice was born and raised in Canada. She held various public relations positions, including serving as a PR coordinator for a Canadian politician. In 1996, she left her job to become a missionary with NET Ministries, traveling across the United States with a team to preach the Gospel to teenagers. During her time with NET, she met her husband, Jean, and they continued their work with NET from their Canadian office.
Janice and Jean now reside in New Orleans and have five children, ages 5 to 18. Together, they speak at Willwoods marriage retreats and facilitate a program that teaches married couples how to pray together.
Janice serves on the women's team for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans. As a dynamic speaker at women’s conferences, Janice speaks on how to walk in your anointing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Janice says she loves preaching on the power of the Holy Spirit. She often shares Psalm 18:20: "He set me free in the open; He rescued me because He loves me."

Magnificat-Omaha, NE has been approved by Archbishop George Lucas as an official organization for women's evangelization in the Archdiocese of Omaha. We have been hosting Brunches for over six years and are a chapter in the Magnificat Ministry International.
The International Organization was the inspiration of the late Bishop Stanley J. Ott with the encouragement of the late Archbishop Philip Hannan of New Orleans. The first function, a prayer breakfast, took place on October 7, 1981.
Now, there are over 80 MAGNIFICAT Chapters in the world. MAGNIFICAT ministers to those women whose faith in the person of Jesus Christ has allowed them to believe in the activity of God’s Spirit in their lives. It also has great appeal to those women who may be struggling with faith or who have lost touch with the Church. It is a valuable evangelistic tool.

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…The mighty ONE has done great things for me, Holy is His name.” Luke 1:46-49
In these words of the Magnificat, Mary proclaimed to Elizabeth her gratitude for the wonderful action of God in her life. Please join us at a brunch for all women where we too will share together in that same spirit of gratitude and praise of God. After the meal, there will be a time of prayer for the needs of all present and an opportunity to hear Kitty share her personal encounter with Jesus the Messiah and her Advent music. You will be inspired by Kitty's beautiful message in word and song. Please plan to come and bring a friend to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.
